MPs get the right to hide expenses?
You have to be kidding me - they are claiming it will be about security or the lack thereof after the information is published. What bunkum!
This should be a non-issue, all they have to do is stipulate the expenses and keep the address secret if the must or how about this for an idea, give the information freely without having to have a legal debate - MPs wonder why they are treated with contempt!
Having been advised there were no legal grounds for appeal, the Committee chaired by the Speaker has now been told that, after all, they can appeal on two legal grounds - the security of MPs and the legitimate expectation of MPs that their information would be kept secret.

Totally off topic, but this story is expanding. Someone from the WaPo thinks Harvard’s sex segregated Gym to accomodate muslim females is a good thing… Men have less rights now. Women can go any time, men cannot go at anytime. Let’s give up more rights, lose equality, so that some communist can feel good about themself.

It’s always the extreme far left that supports this kind of stuff, despite the views are contrary to their own views. The self loathing is that strong. At least it’s a private school. If a public school ever tried this, I hope men would raise holy hell.

I think we would have to agree to disagree on what we deem as far-left. The far-left in the US is around centre left in the UK.
The far-left is way, way out there.

These are the Berkeley protester types, the ones that march around saying US commits warcrimes, holds up signs of solidarity with the insurgents, stuff like that. Someone like Nancy Pelosi wouldn’t be in favor of sex segregation, but a hard core berkeley communist would be.
