The Will Rhodes Portmanteau

But Cyrus is 15.

Oh-Kay!

While people are having a hissy fit about a 15 year old girl having photographs taken - this is what irks me:

At a moment when she otherwise would have been relishing an amazing week — a deal for her memoirs (reportedly seven figures)

Yes - a FIFTEEN year old selling her memoirs! And some say the photographs are bad. My dear Lord - what has the US come to?

Actually the pics are a big deal. It begins her slippery slope. By 18 she’ll have her first movie nude scene, and little girls will imitate, furthering the slut society we live in.

Only an idiot would buy the memoirs of a 15 year old that wasn’t the victim of some kind of genocide or ethnic cleansing..

Just some people are so stupid they need to be protected from themselves:

Here’s an example, and a funny cartoon too. Just some people are hopeless stupid, to there will be plenty of buyers for this book..

Am I the only one that is seeing what really happened here? Annie Leibowitz is a very talented gay photographer that had a fifteen year old girl disrobe and partially covered her with a sheet. I feel that Leibowitz used her position a little too liberally. That was a child, not a twenty-one year old. Though Miley was not assaulted, she was touched, positioned, and nude. Shame on Leibowitz!

Now she knows how Obama feels.

Ridiculous double standard. Were this a picture of some unknown young girl and found on someone’s computer it would be potential kiddie porn. Leibowitz went too far. Vanity Fair should NEVER have published them. I bet Playboy Mag would never have published it because they know they would have been slammed for doing so. I have no idea why the news commentators I have seen are blaming the 15 year old girl and not the adults, her parents, Vanity Fair and Leibowitz. Shame on all of them for not guiding this young billionaire properly. I don’t care if she is a star or a billionaire. She is only 15. I feel bad for Miley.

The photographer should’ve known better then to take photos that basically amount to child porn. Miley’s memoirs will get the same review that Charlotte Church’s got - “You need to have lived a life before you write about it.” And Miley better enjoy her fleeting fame while she may. Like many child “stars” soon her fan base will dwindle. Soon those same fans will be saying “EWWW! I can’t believe I was ever into her! She SUCKS!” Just like I did with Kids Inc and other kids did with New Kids On The Block.

Oh dear lord. I didn’t like fifteen year old high-school mama-drama when I was fifteen! Why the hell would I read it now?

Memoirs? Her undeveloped brain won’t remember anything before 5 or 6 years old, anyway and the rest of it is playing with barbies! C’mon!

Oh well, if they go by the same route of the Freys out there, most of the book is made up.

    @ Luna

Don’t you get it, it will appeal to the shallow masses, and little girls will grow up with the delusion that they are superstars too, making them even more narcissistic and entitled. I feel really really sorry for the 15 year old males when they are 27 or 30.. The women of their age groups are going to be nightmares, fully of entitlement and daddy issues.

  • lunawolf // May 1, 2008 at 12:04 am

Lol! Not that the males are going to be any better. They can choose between Justin Timberlake bringing sexy back, the next American Idol, or the Emos of “All American Rejects.”

I’ve found one thing we can agree on Steve! American media sucks!

    15 and memoirs!

I must act quickly to complete my first two in time for August then. Far too many titles to consider.
