Rush Limbaugh tries to save face

May 7, 2008 · 13 Comments

You have to understand that Rush Limbaugh got a proverbial smack in the face when he ‘ordered’ republicans to vote for Hillary Clinton - they did, and she still didn’t come out a real victor.

So what is he up to now with his Operation Chaos?

Exactly the same as he was before - blustering to those republicans that actually listen to him and his idiotic views. Does he really believe he has that much influence on the political scene? It seems, in his world, that he does.

What Limbaugh is now saying is that the Democratic super-delegates should all back Obama - the pseudo-reverse psychology in that is obvious. But Limbaugh won’t admit to it - he will say to his audience that he and he alone made the super-delegates go for Obama and that he will be seen as a hero to his listeners.

This is his way of trying to save face for making a complete ass of himself.

He has publicly urged Republicans to vote for Sen. Hillary Clinton to keep the divisive Democratic nomination fight alive, but talk radio host Rush Limbaugh said Wednesday he really wants Sen. Barack Obama to be the party’s nominee.

“I now believe he would be the weakest of the Democrat nominees,” Limbaugh, among the most powerful voices in conservative radio, said on his program. “I now urge the Democrat superdelegates to make your mind up and publicly go for Obama.”

“Barack Obama has shown he cannot get the votes Democrats need to win — blue-collar, working-class people,” Limbaugh said. “He can get effete snobs, he can get wealthy academics, he can get the young, and he can get the black vote, but Democrats do not win with that.”

Obama can’t get the working-class vote? They will, even though they are Democrats, will vote for McCain?

I don’t think so.

You can see some of what Hillary supporters are thinking by reading the comments on here.

That is - if they are Clinton supporters.

Come back to reality. Rush is a professional “personality.” He doesn’t have beliefs; he can’t afford them.

Rush does anything that he can to maintain enough “relevance” and exposure to continue to earn a paycheck.

Don’t lend such people the credence of ideology; they’re just folks trying to make the rent.

Last time I listened to him he made his beliefs very obvious.

Limbaugh is a joke. What ego that man must have to think he can effect the outcome of a presidential primary just by speaking into his little microphone….

Really, the fact that he’s “supporting” Obama is good. Once Clinton’s out, many will see that the myth that Obama “cannot get the votes Democrats need to win” is just that: a myth. Clinton supporters will vote for Barack… but the Independents that he pulls to the Democratic side would not have done the same for Hillary.

    I agree, Chris.

Isn’t this the man who also got on Kerry for flip flopping and using the term waffling? I guess it’s only important if it you pointing the finger at the other guy. Pretty much the repugnacan moto I’d say.

I heard Huckabee this morning urging Hillary to keep her campaign running and made the analogy to football. I think GW made the same type of analogy about Iraq. Interesting how these repugnacans treat our government and politics like it’s a game.

And we voted for this coach twice? Shame on U.S.

The Oxycontin has gotten to Rush. He tried to pick up on KKKarl Rove’s call to make Hillary the fron-runner and fell on his fat butt. Half of working class Indiana voted for Obama. People weren’t fooled by the pandering gas tax holiday. Dumbya and his evil minions have turned the U.S. dollar into a Weimar Republic deutchesmark. This is why gas is so expensive. People aren’t as stupid as Rush and Rove think they are…

Rush is an idiot by any stretch of the word. He should be locked up for tampering with the democratic process!! Next election he may bus in Mexicans from across the border and issue them fake Identifications of dead Americans to accomplish his own personal sick goals…try him for treason or create a law just for media clowns that use their post to sabotage democracy. His actions are the equivalent of an Election Day suicide bomber. No Difference!!!!!!!!!

Rush is given too much credit! It’s the ecstasy that fuels his dumb, idiotic ideas. I thought he went to re-hab! Guess he re-lapsed!

The super delegates are only backing Obama because they afraid of a race riot like the sixties. So Limbaugh run from Hilary to Obama is dirty trash and traitor as others who support Obama
