Interesting tactic…

We all know that W Virginia is going to the polls tomorrow to anoint Hillary Clinton. It’s a given that she is going to win.

What was perturbing me was why wasn’t Obama out trying to get any vote for himself? Why would he just walk away from this State without a fight - not a bit of campaigning barring the odd TV advert. I was shocked - I would have thought that he would have gone for the jugular and organised a rampart defence or an all out attack!

Then I remembered I was English and he is fighting very similar to how the British beat all-comers when turning the world pink.

If your opposing army turns up en masse in the wrong place - who will they fight? Precisely no one! Advertise that you aren’t going to be there, and they won’t turn up either - pretty pointless standing around waiting for something to happen when you could be at the pub drinking a few rather than dying on a battlefield.

And that is what is brilliant about his tactic in W Virginia - he isn’t fighting there because if he did she would get a massive turn-out, so he isn’t and she won’t! Brings down the popular vote in his favour and shows that she doesn’t have as much pull with the voters as she thought!

You clever, clever man Mr Obama!
