While George Bush is politicising his ‘Celebration’ of Israel’s 60 birthday bash and having a go at Barack Obama back in the US the GOP gets into gear in the attack sequence. They are getting ready for the off in November, but the electioneering starts the moment Obama is nominated.
And who are they going to practice on?
In a preview of the political onslaught Michelle Obama may face in the fall, the Tennessee Republican Party unveiled a Web video Thursday highlighting her comment that she was proud of America “for the first time in my adult life.”
Well - if they can’t get him they are going to try to rile him by having a poke at his wife - that is what the GOP does!
In all the years I have been interested in the US elections, and that is about as long as I have been interested in the UK ones, they do this every time - the GOP are dirty fighters - and I hope upon hope that they have both prepared Michelle Obama as well as Barack.
She is going to need it.

You are absolutely right.
Republicans are notorious for out of context quotes turned into another context by inference, then, claimed to be a fact as presented.
It is near impossible to have anything like an honest political debate in the USA , without ad-hominem tricks being the light by which the debate is illumined. False analogy, false premise, false dichotomy, every tactic of”debate” biased by emotional associations to obscure any truths or facts in context, will pour out from the so called “right”.
The tragedy is that so many are perpetually seduced by the misleading rationalizations.
