The Will Rhodes Portmanteau

One of those WTF! moments

May 15, 2008 · 18 Comments

I have seen some stuff in my 46 years on this planet, some good some bad and some that makes the Darwin awards justified beyond reproach!

Then there are those times when you really do think: “WTF was he/she thinking?”

This - is one of those moments.

Sen. John McCain envisions that by 2013, the Iraq War will be won but the threat from the Taliban in Afghanistan won’t yet be eliminated, even though Osama bin Laden will have been captured or killed.

How can he make a specific prediction like that? Because he is an idiot! George Bush is an idiot and is trying to be replaced by an idiot.

“The Iraq War has been won. Iraq is a functioning democracy, although still suffering from the lingering effects of decades of tyranny and centuries of sectarian tension,” McCain said.

What!?

“There is no longer any place in the world al Qaeda can consider a safe haven,” McCain said.

What about his cave in Afghanistan where he is supposedly holed up in right now? Or is he really dead and you can’t find the body - making all those videos and audio tapes a little suspect?

Hmmmmm? Senile at 71 - cool!

Quote#1: So, now, you liberals “don’t” want a timetable? lol He finally gives you one (that you beg for day and night), and you say “What an idiot, how can he predict that”?

    Are YOU kidding ME?
There are times where I think “WTF was he/she thinking?”, and now is one of them. Just goes to show you there is no ‘thinking’ to a liberal, just an ‘argument’.

Quote #2, He was speaking about the future, not about now. Get a clue.

#3, He’s been out of that cave in Afghanistan for a while now.. What cave have you been in?

The picture of him on CNN should read,
    “1,000 points of light.”

vote for Obama, please… he is our only hope.

I think that John McCain is high? I can’t see any other way that his camp thought this this was a good ideal. It’s was just LAME!

Who is he Nostradomus? Or did he shine his head in the mirror and use it as a crystal ball? I think McCain is another word for Bush part 3 and the movie The world wide war on Terror. I am sorry, but I TRUST NO politican i can’t even see how the could be called a necessary evil.

  • Danny // May 15, 2008 at 12:52 pm

“take a little time to describe what I would hope to have achieved at the end of my first term as president. I cannot guarantee I will have achieved these things,”

    Learn to read, Nostradomus.

So McSame is in the Oracle business now? I am amazed at how much flip-flopping this moron has done, but he still gets a free-pass. Yet what does the press focuses on: Obama calling a woman “sweetie”. Jesus help us. Obama has been deemed too black, not black enough, elitist, unpatriotic. Gear up, maybe the next scoop is he is sexist, yet he will still win the election.
Uh Oh, was that a prediction?(lol)

  • thebeadden // May 15, 2008 at 3:05 pm

Didn’t you hear? They aren’t even looking for him anymore. WTF is right!

  • Craig V // May 15, 2008 at 3:11 pm

What are you talking about? The war is over! See?

Leave it to Craig V to confuse the words “War” and “Mission”…

Some people have obviously never spent a day in the military.

There is a new, emerging class system…The Intellects and the Ignorants. Anytime I hear an Obama supporter discussing things, there is a REASON that can be stated and empirically argued. All I ever hear from the Republican side is angry ranting, name-calling, 1948-world view Imperialistic thinking, lies, pandering to lower intelligence, and moments like this.

The world is moving much faster than the US and with McBush (really the Republican machine) at the helm, we will be left behind and passed over in the dealings of the world.

Personally I dont give a damn about stupid people. If they do not have the capacity to have a mind open enough to take facts in and objectively make up their mind based on ACTUAL facts, Darwinism needs to take hold against them a little faster.

Obama is our only hope along with the ousting of these Ignorance-Pandering “Republicans”. You think these Ignorants get crazy wanting to pick fights while clinging to their god and guns, and denouncing The Google on the Internets…wait til they piss off the Intellects and their clinging to books, brains, the support of more than half of the American public, and the collective thinking of the rest of the world.

They need to realize Intellects are not punks. We just know WHEN to pick our fights. Ignorants are like constantly intoxicated people obnoxiously ready to pick a fight all the time. Just because we use our head doesn’t mean we won’t knock a Dumb-Ass out.

Let’s move past Dems and Reps. Let’s start phasing out Ignorance. The only attack will be on the void in people’s minds. Why wouldn’t you wanna be an Intellect?

  • Danny // May 15, 2008 at 8:01 pm

Abe, for someone who says that the other type of person calls people names and shoots out insults, you sure did call people a lot of names (ie, McBush) and claim that ‘darwinism’ take hold faster…

Sounds like the pot calling the kettle black.

As a matter of fact, in all that rambling you didnt actually make one argument for your cause, you simply rambled on about how ’stupid’ people are.

Apparently you know when to pick a fight, just not how to debate. But true “intellects” as you self-proclaim to be, don’t pick fights and “knock a dumb-ass out”.. they make valid points. Of which, you have made none.

John McCain is a man of personal integrity and great strength, who went to the wall for a friend of mine, even though she was a Democratic activist who strongly opposed some of his policies.

    YET.

In this case, I must say that John McCain is pulling this out of his ass so the news media doesn’t forget about him. It’s sad to see someone for whom I have this much respect pander in this way.

    Somewhere over the rainbow . . .

    The sun will come out tomorrow . . .it’s only a day away . . .

Well, no exactly . . . you see, a telescope has a mighty sharp eye. It brings the stars so close that you feel you can almost touch them.

Oh yea, about Songbird McInsane’s speech . . . whatever idiot told him making that speech was a good idea and the buffoons who wrote it should be fired. Sounds like grandpa calling all the grands and greatkids in to tell them bedtime stories as they close their eyes and go to . . .zzzzzz

Yawn . . . hope McCain enjoyed his version of a 1st State of the Union Address because that honor will go to the Democratic President in January 2009.

This speech was insulting to all thinking Americans, including the ones who finally regret voting twice for Bush.

In a Bizarro Universe of all things having purpose, the Republicans can continue to lie and cover up for all the Bush-Cheney atrocities and the past 7 years of this monarchial administration when they loose all those seats in the House and Senate, along with loosing the White House, they can blame McStupid for having no coattails . . guess he lost those when, after drinking tea, eating oranges and cookies, he fell through the looking glass finding Twiddle-Dee and Twiddle Dum who told him he was the One Who Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest.

There’s something very tragic about that man (McInSane)… and I’m sure that nothing but harm will come to you through him.

    John McCain… Electable?

  • Elaine Mays // May 16, 2008 at 10:53 am

How is this not setting time limits when the republicans say they won’t do this and are castigating the dems for doing the same? And what makes John McCain think that 5 years is the right time to pull out of Iraq? I mean where is the logic behind this. Oh, never mind, just believe, have faith and all that stuff. Maybe the criteria is that all the holders of defense stocks and the oil companies will have made enough money by then that they won’t care anymore. This is all about money and greed.

  • Danny // May 16, 2008 at 11:45 am

Some people call it “pandering” I call it honesty. This is not a good thing for him to say, because it opens him up for criticism from BOTH Sides.. but thats what is so great about it. He stated things that are not only meeting people half-way, they are not divisive. He even said at the end “I don’t care who gets the credit”. THAT is not bi-partisanship.. that is a man who has moral values (and I’m not talking about the ones that JUST come from the bible)

Thats a man that wants to do these things, but is smart enough, or honorable enough not to ‘lie’ and say he WILL do these things.. He stated he would try.

Obama, with the little experience he has, thinks he WILL change ALL of America. But I’ve got news for him, he’s wrong. “Change” is a buzzword.. I think “Honesty” should be McCain’s buzzword.. He told the people in Michigan the truth.. He said, lets be honest, those jobs are not going to be coming back. That is honesty, that is reality, that is the truth that EVERYONE in this country wants, and NEEDS.

Before I wrote this I was undecided.. but I think I just convinced myself.

  • David // May 16, 2008 at 7:16 pm

Didn’t Geroge Bush say 5 years ago the war has been won? And before the US invaded Iraq, Al Qaeda had no presence there. McCain is a mirror image of Bush. If you want 4 more years of him, then vote for McCain.

  • David // May 16, 2008 at 7:23 pm

The war is over…this is true. Bin Laden won a long time ago.

  • David // May 16, 2008 at 7:30 pm

The war is over…this is true. Bin Laden won a long time ago. And Danny, you are right. You’re right about everything. I’ll bet you’ve never been wrong! You need to wake up and stop trying to impress people with your writing. Just ask yourself one question, “Why are we, Americans, in the mess we are in now?”. Don’t answer to me, just to yourself.
